VORT Lesson Package

You are ready for your test! 

Includes a 1-hour lesson for warm-up and calm coaching prior to the test, and the rental of my car for the VORT.

We can organise the booking of your Authorised Examiner. Let us know at the time of booking this package.

Note: New clients are advised to complete a 1-hour “Single Lesson” before booking the “VORT Lesson Package” to ensure that they meet the Department of Infrastructure & Transport’s assessment standards.

Manual Transmission

For advanced learners who have already demonstrated competent driving on an automatic transmission, manual transmission lessons may be available on request.

FAQ’s

  • Just bring your current SA Learner's Permit (Provisional Licence for refresher students, or International License/Permit for international drivers), and if you have a log book, bring that too as we will sign off your hours at the end of each lesson.

    Wear enclosed comfortable footwear suitable for driving.

  • CBT (Competency Based Training) is the “logbook method” : you work through a structured set of skills over multiple lessons with an approved CBTA trainer/examiner MDI.

    A VORT (Vehicle On Road Test) is a single assessment drive conducted by a government-appointed examiner. To prepare for the VORT, it is advised that you take lessons with a MDI.

    Both can lead to your P1 licence.

  • Yes. You can rent our car for your VORT which means you will be doing your test in a car you are already familiar with. Please let us know when we book your test so we can arrange the timing.

  • We understand that life happens. We ask for at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a lesson without charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee. For full details, please refer to the Terms & Conditions below.

  • Absolutely! This is one of our most valued specialisations. We work with students who have had bad experiences elsewhere, who have anxiety behind the wheel, or who have been avoiding their licence for years. We go at whatever pace works for you, and there is never any judgment or pressure. Many of our most rewarding lessons have been with students who arrived believing they couldn't learn to drive.

  • Yes. We hold a current National Police Certificate and DHS Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearances, as required for all professional driving instructors who work with minors in South Australia. These can be provided to parents on request.

  • Yes, we operate seven days a week including public holidays, subject to availability. Weekend slots book up quickly, so we would recommend getting in touch early to secure your preferred time.

  • For confident and experienced learners, VORT usually takes 4-8 hours of training to be ready for the test. This is an estimation only.

    Additional training will be required for learners who do not meet the assessment standards as outlined by the Department of Infrastructure and Transport.
